Situated in Kirkcudbright in South West Scotland The Castle Restaurant offers great quality food and drink.  Kirkcudbright is the areas artist town and our restaurant is situated directly opposite the stunning  MacLellans Castle. Dumfries and  Galloway is noted for its golf, bird watching, fishing and beautiful countryside. 

Our food is freshly prepared on site and is sourced from the local area. If not produced in Dumfries and Galloway, our food and drink comes first from Scotland and then beyond. Whether you are a carnivore, fish lover or vegetarian you will find something fantastic on our menu.  We aim to use organic produce wherever possible.

The Castle Restaurant welcomes families.  Younger family members can choose from their own menu although they will never be served chips.

The new owners Fiona and Paul took over in June 2006 and will be striving to establish an award winning status.  The restaurant, formerly known as The Auld Alliance, already boasts a great local reputation which we will be building upon. We look forward to welcoming you at The Castle Restaurant.
